Banks across India will remain closed on Thursday, December 25, 2025, in observance of Christmas, the Christian festival celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. Bank holidays in India are regulated by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), taking into account the Negotiable Instruments Act, RTGS holidays, and both regional and national observances.
Banks will be closed on December 25 in the following cities:
