BHIM Payments App Latest News Update: A third, improved version of the UPI-powered mobile payments app BHIM has finally seen the light of the day. National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) unit NPCI Bhim Services on Tuesday rolled out the mobile app BHIM 3.0, offering more customer friendly and intuitive experience to users. Three key features offered under BHIM 3.0 include: additional languages, better functionality in low connectivity regions and improved money management experience.
Additionally, the BHIM 3.0 app comes loaded with advanced tools to track, manage and split expenses seamlessly.
Split Expenses: BHIM 3.0 users to split bills with friends and family seamlessly while making transactions for tasks such as dining out, rent payments, or group purchases.
Family Mode: BHIM 3.0 enables users to onboard family members, track shared expenses, and assign specific payments, a feature aimed at enabling better financial planning by giving families a consolidated view of their expenses.
Spends Analytics: The new BHIM dashboard, offered under BHIM 3.0, offers an intuitive view of a user’s monthly spending patterns for the spends.
Action Needed: BHIM 3.0 comes loaded with a built-in task assistant that reminds users of pending bills linked to the app, prompting them to enable UPI Lite, and alerts them when their Lite balance is low.
A seamless in-app payment solution for merchants, This feature integrates with online merchant platforms, allowing customers to complete payments instantly within the app without switching to third-party apps.
According to NPCI, BHIM 3.0 will be launched in phases across platforms.
Its full availability can be expected by April, according to the statement.
