Public and private sector banks, including State Bank of India, HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank, will remain closed in several cities next week due to regional holidays, Bakrid/Eid-ul-Adha observances and regular weekend closures.
According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday calendar, bank branches across multiple states will remain shut between May 25 and May 31, 2026. Apart from this, a proposed nationwide strike by SBI employees on May 25 and May 26 may also affect branch services in several locations.
Customers planning branch visits are advised to complete important banking work in advance to avoid inconvenience.

Online fund transfers through NEFT and RTGS, bill payments and cash withdrawals from ATMs are also expected to continue normally, except during scheduled maintenance periods announced by banks.
Customers are advised to finish cheque clearances, demand draft requests and branch-related documentation work before the holiday period begins.
