Cables and electricals major Polycab India Ltd was trading firm despite weak broader markets, gaining around 2 per cent. At around 2 pm, the stock was trading near Rs 8,674, while its current market price (CMP) stands at Rs 8,606.50. The brokerage has set a target price of Rs 9,600 on the stock, indicating an upside potential of about 10 per cent over the long term. The stock is seen as a suitable pick for investors with a long-term investment horizon.

Despite the broader market weakness, shares of UltraTech Cement were trading higher in Thursday’s session. Domestic brokerage Motilal Oswal remains positive on the stock and has reiterated a Buy recommendation. The brokerage has set a target price of Rs 15,000 on UltraTech Cement, implying an upside potential of up to 20 per cent from current levels. Motilal Oswal has picked the stock from a long-term investment perspective, citing strong fundamentals and growth visibility despite near-term market volatility.
