Up 43% in 8 sessions, this midcap RE stock continues to run up on strong Q4 results

Waaree Energies shares in Wednesday's trade (April 23) rallied 15 per cent extending  its previous day's rally. The stock has been on a run for the ninth straight session now -gaining as much as 43 per cent.

As of the last count, the stock was up over 14 per cent at Rs 2,980.65 per share, while at the day's high it touched levels of Rs 2,999 per share.

Waaree Energies' Q4 Results

For the reporting March quarter, the company's Q4 net profit climbed 36 per cent to Rs  4,003.93 crore in the quarter ended 31 March 2025. Total income was at Rs 4,140.92 crore in the March 2025 quarter, registering a growth of 37.68% YoY.

The company's EBITDA soared by 116.27 per cent to Rs 1,059.57 crore during the quarter from Rs 489.94 crore recorded in same quarter last year. EBITDA margin improved to 25.59 per cent in Q4 FY25 as against 16.29% recorded in the same quarter last year.

Waaree Energies' rise as US slaps tariffs on solar profucts from SouthEast Asian nations

Shares of solar companies in India, including Waaree Energies gained ground and surged up to 8 per cent in trade today as US decided on levying significant duties on imports of solar panel from Southeast Asia. The new exorbitant duty of 3,521 per cent is typically targeting products from countries, including Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and Malaysia. 

The measure is in a bid to counteract what the US deems as unfair trade practices by Chinese players in the region.

As per reports, the decision is based on the year-long probe that revealed that solar panel players in nations including Cambodia, Vietnam among others were drawing unfair benefits from government subsidies and selling products to the US at a price lower than the cost of production. 

Analysts' view on Waaree Energies' 

Zee Business Managing Editor Anil Singhvi recommended buying the stop whenever it shows a slight correction.
