Vedanta dividend 2023: The board of billionaire Anil Agarwal-led mining major Vedanta announced its first interim dividend of Rs 18.50 per equity share i.e. 1850 per cent payout on the face value of Re 1 per share for the Financial Year 2023-24 to its shareholders.
"Have approved First Interim Dividend of ₹ 18.50 per equity share i.e. 1850% on face value of Re. 1/- per share for the Financial Year 2023-24 amounting to c. ₹ 6,877 Crores," the company's filing said.
The mining major has fixed May 30, Tuesday as the record date. "The record date for the purpose of payment of dividend is Tuesday, May 30, 2023," the company's filing added.

"The interim dividend will be paid within stipulated timelines as prescribed under law," the company's filing further said.
Vedanta's stock has given a negative return of over 6 per cent in the last year (May 22, 2022). In comparison, the headline index Nifty 50 has rallied over 13 per cent.
Vedanta's net profit for the March quarter dropped 57 per cent to Rs 3,132 crore on softer commodity prices and impairment in the oil and gas business.
