Maharatna PSU Stock: Indian Oil Corporation’s interim dividend payment date for FY26 is approaching. The Maharatna PSU has already fixed the record date. Eligible shareholders can expect the dividend amount to be credited to their bank accounts shortly.

IOCL interim dividend details

According to an exchange filing, the Board of Directors of Indian Oil declared an interim dividend of 50 per cent. This translates to Rs 5 per equity share of face value Rs 10 each for FY26.

“This is the company’s first interim dividend for the current financial year and the second after the recent bonus issue,” the company said.

The record date to determine eligible shareholders was Thursday, December 18, 2025. Investors holding Indian Oil shares as of this date will be entitled to receive the interim dividend.

Dividend history

Indian Oil paid final dividends of Rs 2.40 in August 2022, Rs 3 in July 2023, Rs 7 in July 2024, and Rs 3 in August 2025. It had also announced an interim dividend of Rs 5 in November 2023.

Strong Q2 performance

The Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas reported a sharp jump in profits in the September quarter of FY26. Standalone net profit rose to Rs 13,288 crore, compared with Rs 180 crore in the same quarter last year.

The strong performance was supported by higher refining margins. Gross refining margin stood at USD 19.6 per barrel in Q2, up from USD 2.15 per barrel in Q1 and USD 1.59 per barrel a year ago.
