Goldman Sachs said on Thursday that it expects the rupee to slide to 85.5-86 levels against the US dollar over the next 3-6 months, Zee Business reported.

The financial services giant expects the rupee to stabilise after hitting the 86 mark against the American currency, according to the channel.

The latest forecasts came after the rupee plunged to a record low of 84.46 against the greenback earlier on Thursday.
