Gold, Silver silver rates today, March 26: In the Indian spot market, 24-carat gold was priced at Rs 8,940 per gram, while 22-carat and 18-carat gold stood at Rs 8,195 and Rs 6,705 per gram, respectively.

Gold prices declined in the domestic futures market on Wednesday morning as traders booked profits amid a stronger US dollar, even as uncertainty over US President Donald Trump’s tariff policies continued to support the yellow metal.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold April contracts were down 0.08 per cent at Rs 87,480 per 10 grams around 10:30 am, while silver April contracts inched up 0.06 per cent to Rs 99,210 per kg.
In the Indian spot market, 24-carat gold was priced at Rs 8,940 per gram, while 22-carat and 18-carat gold stood at Rs 8,195 and Rs 6,705 per gram, respectively. Silver was trading at Rs 102 per gram and Rs 1,02,000 per kg.
Investor concerns deepened after US consumer confidence dropped to its lowest level in over four years, with fears of a recession and inflationary pressures linked to tariffs. The market remains cautious ahead of the potential reciprocal tariffs set to take effect on April 2. Gold, traditionally considered a hedge against economic uncertainties, has gained 15 per cent this year, hitting an all-time high of 3,057.21 dollars on March 20.
"We suggest selling gold around 87500 with a stop loss of 87800 for the target of 86950," said Manoj Kumar Jain, director, Prithvi Finmart.
