Crude oil prices rose Rs 43 to Rs 6,188 per barrel on Tuesday, as participants widened their positions on a firm spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for the November delivery traded higher by Rs 43, or 0.7 per cent, to Rs 6,188 per barrel in 4,637 lots.

Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in the futures trade.
Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up 0.86 per cent to USD 83.15 per barrel, while Brent crude traded 0.46 per cent higher at USD 84.72 per barrel in New York.
