Bullion Update: Gold crosses 50,000 level, Silver up by more than Rs 500 on MCX - check rates in Delhi, Mumbai, other cities

Gold rate today: Gold traded flat in the afternoon trade, on MCX as of 3:30 pm, December Gold futures was quoted at Rs 50,451 per 10 grams, marginal up by Rs 267 or 0.53 per cent. Meanwhile, Silver gained momentum and was up by Rs 585 to Rs 58,911 per kg.

On the international market, Gold was quoted at USD 1,645.70 per ounce while silver was up by 1.49 per cent which is at USD 19.74 per ounce.

Meanwhile, the rupee was at 82.4609 against the US dollar. The international oil benchmark Brent crude futures was up by 2.03 per cent to USD 96.61 per barrel.

In other commodity news, Guar seeds were at three weeks high and Guar Gum was at five weeks high. On the NCDEX, Guar seeds 10MT Futures was trading at Rs 4,878, which was up by 2.69 per cent and Guar Gum futures was at Rs 9710 which was up by 3.18 per cent
