Stocks to Watch Today (January 16, 2026): Indian equity markets are expected to remain stock-specific on Friday amid heavy result action, business updates and policy-linked developments. IT majors will announce quarterly earnings post market, while insurance, real estate, pharma and auto stocks may see active trading. The announcement of BMC election results will also be closely tracked.

Tech Mahindra, Wipro, Reliance Industries

Tech Mahindra, Wipro and Reliance Industries are scheduled to announce their December-quarter results after market hours. The numbers are expected to guide sentiment in IT and heavyweight stocks.

Federal Bank will remain in focus during its F&O trading window between 1 pm and 3 pm, while Polycab India, Tata Technologies and L&T Finance may see variable action in the derivatives segment.

Jio Financial Services

Jio Financial Services Ltd reported a mixed performance for the December quarter, marked by strong growth in core operating income but a decline in profitability.

The company’s net profit for the third quarter of FY26 fell 9 per cent year-on-year to Rs 269 crore, compared with Rs 295 crore in the year-ago period.

Revenue from operations, however, more than doubled during the quarter. It rose to Rs 901 crore in Q3FY26 from Rs 438 crore a year earlier, registering a growth of 106 per cent.

HDFC Life Insurance

HDFC Life reported mixed Q3FY26 standalone results, with headline numbers below estimates but healthy internal metrics. Gross premium income rose 9 per cent to Rs 18,803 crore, while net profit increased marginally by 1.5 per cent to Rs 421 crore. VNB margin stood at 24 per cent. The company reported strong growth in retail protection and a 20 basis point market share gain.

360 ONE WAM

360 ONE WAM delivered a strong Q3FY26 performance. Revenue surged 33 per cent year-on-year to Rs 806 crore, while net profit rose 20 per cent to Rs 331 crore. Assets under management stood at Rs 7.11 lakh crore, driven by sharp growth in wealth and asset management ARR AUM.

Angel One

Angel One posted mixed Q3FY26 results. Revenue rose 5.8 per cent, while EBITDA increased 6.7 per cent with stable margins. Net profit declined 4.5 per cent year-on-year due to a sharp rise in finance costs. The board declared an interim dividend of Rs 23 per share.

Prestige Estates Projects

Prestige Estates reported strong Q3 business momentum. Pre-sales rose 39 per cent year-on-year to Rs 4,184 crore, while collections grew 40 per cent. The company also launched a premium residential project in Bengaluru with an estimated GDV of Rs 5,000 crore.

Kolte-Patil Developers

Kolte-Patil Developers reported weak Q3 sales, which declined 11 per cent year-on-year. However, collections rose 25 per cent, supported by higher realizations.

Godrej Properties

Godrej Properties said booking value rose 19 per cent year-on-year in calendar year 2025 to Rs 34,171 crore, while collections increased 28 per cent to Rs 18,979 crore.

Landmark Cars

Landmark Cars reported healthy growth in Q3FY26. Total revenue and vehicle sales increased on both year-on-year and quarter-on-quarter basis.

Mahindra & Mahindra

Mahindra & Mahindra said its electric models XEV 9S and XUV 7XO received 93,689 bookings, translating into booking value of over Rs 20,500 crore.

Shriram Finance

Shriram Finance received shareholder approval for issuing shares to Japan’s MUFG. Over 98 per cent shareholders voted in favour of the proposals, including a one-time payment arrangement.

Banking Sector

Banks may remain in focus after RBI granted in-principle approval to Japan’s SMBC to set up a banking subsidiary in India, subject to regulatory conditions.

Cipla

Cipla said its US subsidiary temporarily halted production of Lanreotide to support remediation efforts. Supply is expected to resume between April and September.

Zydus Lifesciences

Zydus Lifesciences received final USFDA approval for Eltrombopag tablets used in treating thrombocytopenia. The drug has annual US sales of about $126.25 crore.

Biocon

Biocon raised Rs 4,150 crore through a qualified institutional placement, issuing 12.26 crore shares at Rs 368.35 per share.

Kernex Microsystems

Kernex Microsystems won a Rs 2,465.71 crore order from Chittaranjan Locomotive Works for supply and commissioning of onboard Kavach equipment.

Transrail Lighting

Transrail Lighting secured a Rs 527 crore project across MENA, Africa and India. The company’s FY26 order inflows now stand at Rs 5,637 crore.
