Stock Market Today: Indian equity benchmarks opened on a cautious note on Friday, January 23, as investors stayed selective amid mixed global cues.
The BSE Sensex slipped 16.75 points, or 0.02 per cent, to 82,290.62 in early trade. The index opened slightly higher at 82,335.94 compared with its previous close of 82,307.37.
The Nifty 50 also started the session in the red. The benchmark index fell 27.70 points, or 0.11 per cent, to trade at 25,262.20. It had opened at 25,344.60.
