Stock Market Today: Indian equity benchmarks opened slightly higher on Tuesday, tracking cautious early buying.

At 9:16 am, the BSE Sensex was at 84,232.41, up 166.66 points, or 0.20 per cent. The Nifty 50 was at 25,895.45, higher by 28.15 points, or 0.11 per cent.

The Sensex opened at 84,210.00, compared with the previous close of 84,065.75. The Nifty 50 began the session at 25,922.65, versus its previous close of 25,867.30.
