
Stock Market Holiday: Domestic financial markets will be closed on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti and Dussehra. There will not be any trading in the equity, equity derivative, and SLB segments on October 2, as per the 2025 stock market holiday schedule on the official websites of BSE and NSE. The currenccy, bond and commodity markets will also observe a holiday.
The markets will have its normal trading sessions on Friday, October 3.
The country's stock market will observe as many as 14 holidays in 2025, in addition to weekly offs.

According to the official holiday calendar of the Reserve Bank of India, all commercial banks will be closed in all the cities on October 2 including Agartala, Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Belapur, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Gangtok, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Itanagar, Imphal, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kochi, Kohima, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Panaji, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Srinagar, Shillong, Thiruvananthapuram, and Vijayawada on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti, Dasara, Vijaya Dashami, Dussehra, Durga Puja (Dasain) or Sri Sri Sankardeva Janmotsav.
