The stock rally came after two major updates on October 6 and 8, when the airline revealed new routes to key festive and winter destinations.

On October 8, SpiceJet launched direct flights to Port Blair and Udaipur, two popular tourist destinations. The airline has started daily flights to Port Blair from Kolkata, while flights from Delhi will include a stopover at Kolkata before heading onward.

Starting November 6, SpiceJet will operate non-stop flights to Udaipur from Delhi and Mumbai, as part of its broader plan to double its fleet and daily flight count this winter.

“As winter approaches, we are thrilled to offer travellers two of India’s most beautiful destinations – the Andamans and Udaipur – now easily accessible with our new direct and non-stop flights,” said Debojo Maharshi, Chief Business Officer, SpiceJet. “This expansion is part of our larger commitment to strengthen our domestic network and provide seamless, affordable, and delightful travel experiences,” he added.

Special festive flights to Ayodhya

Earlier, on October 6, the company announced special Diwali flights to Ayodhya. Daily non-stop flights from Delhi, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, and Hyderabad began from October 8, 2025.

The airline said these operations will be phased to provide better access for tourists and devotees during the festive season. It also mentioned that Mumbai–Ayodhya flights are being considered for launch later this year.

Focus on tier-2 and religious destinations

With both updates, SpiceJet highlighted its plan to strengthen its domestic presence, particularly by expanding into tier-2 cities and religious routes.

Tickets for the new routes are available on SpiceJet’s website and mobile app. The company said the expansion aligns with its goal to tap seasonal travel demand and improve connectivity across key regional destinations.
