Sensex, Nifty likely to open in green zone; GIFT Nifty futures edge higher

Domestic equity benchmarks Sensex and Nifty will likely open in a positive zone in today's (September 3) session. At around 7:15 am, GIFT Nifty futures, an early indicator of the Nifty50 index, were up 16 points or 0.07 per cent at 25,357 ahead of opening on Dalal Street.

US share market closed in a positive zone, Nasdaq ended higher, up 1.13 per cent, and the S&P 500 index, up 1.01 per cent. Meanwhile, Asian markets were also in green territory, with Japan's Nikkei up 88 points or 0.23 per cent.
