Stocks in News: Domestic equity benchmarks Nifty 50 and Sensex finished a session full of wild swings about half a per cent lower on Friday, as selling pressure in space like energy and financial services outweighed buying interest in FMCG and IT shares. The Sensex gave up 329.9 points, or 0.4 per cent, to end at 76,190.5 and the Nifty 50 gave up 113.2 points, or 0.5 per cent, to settle at  23,092.2. As the focus shifts to the new trading session on Dalal Street, the first day of a week that ends with the presentation of Union Budget in Parliament, here are a few stocks worth trading on Monday, January 27. 

Corporate Earnings | Indian Oil, Tata Steel, Petronet... 

More than 75 companies are scheduled to report their quarterly numbers on Monday, including Tata Steel, Indian Oil, Petronet LNG, Federal Bank, Canara Bank, Union Bank of India and LT Foods.

ICICI Bank reported a largely positive set of results on Saturday.

Corporate Action

KEI Industries and Tanla Platforms shares are scheduled to trade ex-dividend at the opening bell on Monday. 

At the same time, the Shraddha Prime Projects stock will go ex-bonus.

KRBL

KRBL has onboarded legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan as its brand ambassador for its India Gate brand of basmati rice.

Star Health and Allied Insurance 

The company has received a tax demand notice worth Rs 66 crore from the Chennai tax department. 

NTPC

NTPC subsidiary THDC India has commenced commercial operations from the first unit at the Khurja STPP (2X660 MW) facility.

CARE Ratings

SEBI has issued an administrative warning for the ratings agency over an alleged non-disclosure of the extent of consolidation in a certain press release. 

The regulator had conducted an inspection on the company between May 1, 2023, to April 30, 2024.

Sona BLW Precision

The auto parts maker has applied to the stock exchanges for approval to reclassify Singapore VII Topco III from the promoter category to the public category.

CMS Info Systems

Wasatch Advisors LP has raised its stake in CMS Info Systems by 0.12 per cent, taking its shareholding to 5.08 per cent by purchasing 2.01 lakh shares through open market transactions on January 24.

Jubilant FoodWorks

The company has received a GST notice to the tune of Rs 29.13 crore including penalty. 

Deepak Builders and Engineers

Neomile Corporate Advisory and Neomile Growth Fund have raised their shareholding in the company to 10.06 per cent through the open market. 

Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail 

Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail has received a GST demand notice worth Rs 11.76 crore. 

The company plans to appeal the demand, describing it as unfair. 

Brooks Labs

Stock exchanges have allowed the company to issue 35.3 lakh shares to a non-promoter group on a preferential basis at Rs 141.50 apiece. 

Apollo Hospitals Enterprise

Apollo Hospitals Enterprise has partnered Mayapada Healthcare Group to enhance medical services in Indonesia.

Both organisations will leverage advanced technologies such as Tele-Radiology, E-ICU, and artificial intelligence programmes to improve patient care and accessibility, according to Apollo Hospitals Enterprise. 

Hindustan Zinc Ltd (HZL)

Vedanta group firm Hindustan Zinc is likely to turn net debt-free by the next financial year despite significant investment in capacity expansion, according to Ventura Securities.
