PSU Stocks to BUY, SELL: The domestic stock market continued its losing streak for the fourth consecutive session on February 21, with auto and pharma stocks leading the decline. The Nifty 50 slipped by 0.51 per cent, closing at 22,795, while the Sensex dropped by 424 points to settle at 75,311, down 0.56 per cent. Broader markets also suffered, with the Nifty Midcap 100 plunging by 1.32 per cent and the Nifty Smallcap 100 falling by 0.70 per cent.
Meanwhile, brokerage firm Antique Stock Broking Ltd. has recommended buying a defence stock and selling a railway stock.
Antique Stock Broking has selected BEML as a top pick from the small-cap segment, setting a target of Rs 4,114 with a BUY rating. This target represents a 56 per cent increase from the current price. The stock is currently trading at Rs 2,632.75.
In July 2024, the stock reached a high of Rs 5,489.15. This week, it hit a new 52-week low of Rs 2,539.95.
BEML operates under the Ministry of Defense and is involved in the Defense and Aerospace, Mining and Construction, and Rail and Metro sectors. The company has a market capitalisation of Rs 11,009.97 crore.
Antique Stock Broking has given a sell rating for Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) stock, forecasting a 42 per cent correction. The brokerage notes that the company's execution is weak and its valuation is high. Based on this analysis, they have set a target of Rs 125 with a sell rating. The stock is currently trading at Rs 368.40.
This railway PSU stock reached a lifetime high of Rs 644 in July 2024. The 52-week low is Rs 213.
