First Trade: Sensex gains 353 points, Nifty tops 22,626 levels

Indian equities in Tuesday's trade gained tracking positive Asian markets ahead of the Fed's crucial outcome due to be released tomorrow. At the start, the Nifty50 index was up 0.52 per cent or 117.7 at 22,626.45, while the BSE's Sensex gained 0.48 per cent or 353 points at 74,523.06.
Meanwhile, broader markets traded with significant gains, with smallcap stocks outperforming headline indices.
But these domestic tailwinds are not strong enough to take the market to higher levels on a sustained basis since the global headwinds from tariff wars will counter the domestic tailwinds, he added.
Sectorally, the market mood was buoyant with across-the-board buying, with media, realty, auto and financial services stocks leading the gains.

Most Asian stocks traded higher in Tuesday's session as investors cheered increased optimisim over higher Chinese stimulus. At the last count, the key MSCI Asia ex Japan index was up 0.74 per cent.
Japan's markets also remained standout performers as the country's five leading trading houses made strong gains following investor Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway increased his investments in the companies.
