Mutual fund SIP inflows shrink to Rs 25,999 crore in February as 55 lakh portfolios mature: Key things to know

Mutual Fund AMFI Data: Inflows in mutual fund systematic investment plans (SIPs) were at Rs 25,999 crore in February, marking a decline of 1.5 per cent from the previous month, data from industry body AMFI showed on Wednesday.

Here are 10 key things to know about the latest monthly AMFI report:

• A total of 44 lakh new SIP portfolios were registered in February
• As many as 55 lakh SIP portfolios got discontinued upon maturing
• Overall mutual fund industry net inflows at Rs 40,063 crore
• Overall assets under management down 4.0 per cent sequentially at Rs 64.53 lakh crore
• Net inflows in open-ended equity funds at Rs 29,303 crore, AUM down 7.0 per cent sequentially at Rs 27.4 lakh crore
• Net outflows in open-ended debt funds at Rs 6,526 crore, AUM up 0.1 per cent at Rs 17.08 lakh crore
• Net inflows in open-ended hybrid funds at Rs 6,804 crore, AUM down 2.7 per cent at Rs 8.52 lakh crore
• Inflows in liquid funds at Rs 4,977 crore
• Inflows in gold exchange-traded funds (ETFs) at Rs 1,980 crore
• Inflows in smallcap funds at Rs 3,722 crore
