Matrimony.com Dividend Stock: Shares jump 12% after board announces 100% dividend; check record date

Matrimony.com Ltd shares surged over 12 per cent in early trade on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, reaching an intraday high of Rs 598.95 on the BSE, which followed the company's announcement of a special dividend payout on Monday, after market closing hours.

On Tuesday, by 1:47 pm, the stock pared most of its gains and was trading 0.70 per cent higher at Rs 536.15. In comparison, the BSE Sensex was up 0.19 per cent at 78,133.31.

In a regulatory filing late on Monday, the company's board approved an interim special dividend of Rs 5 per share (100 per cent of face value) to commemorate Matrimony.com’s Silver Jubilee year.

The company has set March 28, 2025, as the record date to determine shareholder eligibility for the special dividend.

Stock performance and dividend History

Matrimony.com’s stock has a 52-week high of Rs 849.8 per share and a 52-week low of Rs 482 per share. On Monday, the stock closed at Rs 532.40, up 0.05 per cent from its previous close of Rs 532.15. The stock traded in the range of Rs 540 to Rs 532.20 during the session.

Over the past year, Matrimony.com shares have gained 3.7 per cent compared to Sensex's 7.6 per cent rise. As per BSE data, the company has consistently paid a dividend of Rs 5 per equity share in 2022, 2023, and 2024.
