LIC Dividend Update: Life Insurance Corporation of India has announced a final dividend of Rs 10 per equity share for the financial year ended March 31, 2026, alongside its Q4 earnings in which the insurance major reported a 23 per cent year-on-year rise in net profit to Rs 23,467 crore.

The dividend recommendation is subject to shareholder approval at the company’s upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Record dates fixed for bonus issue and dividend

The insurer has fixed Friday, May 29, 2026 as the record date for determining shareholder eligibility for its proposed 1:1 bonus issue.

Eligible shareholders will receive one fully paid-up equity share of Rs 10 each for every one existing equity share held.

LIC also said the deemed date of allotment for bonus shares will be Monday, June 1, 2026, in accordance with SEBI regulations.

Separately, the company has fixed Thursday, June 25, 2026 as the record date for determining eligibility for the final dividend payout.

AGM scheduled for July 27

Life Insurance Corporation of India said its 5th Annual General Meeting will be held on Monday, July 27, 2026, where shareholders will consider the final dividend proposal.

The announced dividend of Rs 10 per share is on equity shares with a face value of Rs 10 each. On a pre-bonus basis, the payout is equivalent to Rs 20 per share.

LIC’s dividend track record

The latest payout continues LIC’s dividend distribution trend over the past few years.

For FY2024-25, the insurer had declared a dividend of Rs 12 per share.

In FY2023-24, LIC had announced a final dividend of Rs 6 per share along with an interim dividend of Rs 4 per share.

Q4 earnings and business performance

Alongside the dividend announcement, LIC reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 23,467 crore for Q4 FY26, reflecting a growth of around 23 per cent year-on-year.

The company also reported growth in premium income and improvement in solvency and asset quality metrics during the quarter.
