Investors cautious on TCS as bulls await Q2 results, eye dividend—Earnings preview, key things to track

TCS Q2 Quarterly Results 2025-2026 Today: Shares of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) edged higher in Thursday’s trade as investors positioned ahead of the company’s September quarter results, scheduled after market hours. On the BSE, TCS shares were marginally down from the previous close, trading at Rs 3,026.45 per share.

India’s largest IT services exporter will kick off the earnings season for the July–September quarter. The board is also expected to announce a second interim dividend for the financial year 2025–26 during the same meeting.

TCS Q2 Results FY26: Preview and Expectations

According to Zee Business Research, TCS is likely to report revenue of Rs 65,246 crore, up about 3 per cent from last quarter’s Rs 63,437 crore. In dollar terms, growth is modest at just 0.5 per cent, reaching $7.45 billion.

Operating profit is expected to rise 3.1 per cent to Rs 15,991 crore, with operating margins holding steady at 24.5 per cent. However, net profit may slightly decline from Rs 12,760 crore to Rs 12,744 crore. Excluding currency effects, growth is expected to be around 0.2 per cent. The key pressure points on margins are rising employee wages and continued investments in expanding new business segments.

TCS Q2 Results: Key Factors to Watch

Investors will closely monitor TCS management’s commentary on the US market, which remains its largest revenue source. Tech spending in the US has been cautious, with companies prioritizing essential projects. Updates on new client wins and sector-wise performance will also be closely watched.

TCS Dividend 2025 Record Date

TCS is expected to announce another interim dividend during the board meeting on October 9. The company has set October 15 as the record date. If approved, shareholders on record that day will receive the dividend, and the stock will trade ex-dividend on the same date.
