Share Market Today, October 24, 2024: Domestic equity benchmarks Sensex and Nifty are likely to open Thursday's (October 24) session in positive territory. At around 7:40 am, GIFT Nifty futures, an early indicator of the 50-share index, were up 54.85 points or 0.22 per cent at 24,537.50 ahead of the opening bell on Dalal Street.

US Stock Markets
In US Markets - Wall Street - indexes closed in a negative zone amid selling pressure in consumer discretionary and IT sector stock, including Nvidia; down 2,81 per cent, Apple; down 2.16 per cent, Meta Platforms; down 3.15 per cent, and Amazon; down 2.63 per cent. The Nasdaq index closed lower by 1.60 per cent, and the S&P 500 fell 0.92 per cent. Meanwhile, the real estate and utility sectors were the top gainers.

Asia stocks showed mixed performance, Nikkei 225 was up 0.19 per cent at 38,177.38, and the Hang Seng index was down over 1 per cent.
