Coal India Dividend Record Date 2023: Coal India has announced to pay dividends to its shareholders. According to an exchange filing, the board has declared to pay the second interim dividend of the current fiscal.

According to the filing, the public sector company will pay Rs 5.25 interim dividend per equity share of face value of Rs 10 each. For example, if an investor has 100 shares of Coal India in his Demat account on the record date, the company will pay him Rs 525 dividend (Rs 5.25 x 100 shares).

The company has also fixed the record date for determining the eligibility of shareholders for the payment of dividend. Coal India dividend record date is February 8.

The dividend will be credited directly in the bank account of the shareholders. The company said that the dividend will be paid to the shareholders on/before March 2.

Coal India Dividend History

Coal India shares' dividend yield is 10.7 per cent. The company previously paid an interim dividend of Rs 15 per equity share to its shareholders. 

Coal India shares finished at Rs 219.90 apiece on NSE during Tuesday's trading session. The counter has yielded a positive return of 37 per cent in the past one year. 

Coal India has reported a 70.1 per cent rise in consolidated net profit at Rs 7,755.5 crore for the quarter that ended December 2022 on the back of higher sales. The company had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 4,558.3 crore in the year-ago period. The consolidated sales of the company during the October-December period increased to Rs 32,429.46 crore, over Rs 25,990.97 crore a year ago.
