TeamLease Buyback: TeamLease Services on Wednesday reported a steady set of fourth-quarter earnings and announced a share buyback worth up to Rs 238 crore.

The company’s board approved the buyback of up to 14.87 lakh equity shares at Rs 1,600 per share through the tender offer route. The proposed buyback size represents 8.87 per cent of the company’s paid-up equity capital as of March 31, 2026, and remains subject to shareholder approval.

Ahead of the earnings announcement, shares of TeamLease Services closed 2.9 per cent higher at Rs 1,413 on the NSE.

TeamLease Services buyback details

The company said the buyback will be funded entirely through existing free cash balances. During FY26, TeamLease received income tax refunds worth Rs 143.1 crore, taking its net free cash position to around Rs 600 crore.

The buyback price of Rs 1,600 per share is higher than the company’s closing market price on Tuesday.

TeamLease Q4 and FY26 performance

Managing Director and CEO Suparna Mitra said FY26 was a year of “disciplined execution”, with full-year EBITDA growth of 14 per cent and margin expansion reflecting improved operating leverage across businesses.

The company added 109 new enterprise clients during the March quarter and reported nearly 6,000 net headcount additions across sectors.

Hiring trends and workforce additions

According to the company, around 24 per cent of gross associates hired during the quarter were first-time job seekers, reflecting continued hiring activity and focus on employability.

TeamLease said hiring momentum remained steady across sectors during the quarter as businesses continued to add workforce through flexible staffing models.
