BSE Limited on Tuesday, April 7, launched a financial awareness program called 'Dharmam Char' in India. The event took place in Mumbai and was attended by Jagadguru Shankar Vijayendra Saraswati, Shankaracharya of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti.
Addressing the people, he spoke about the need to balance professional success with inner peace and gave his blessings and reminded people to stay grounded in their work and life.
"By spreading awareness and outreach, the Dharma Chari programme will help in promoting and projecting a strong India, an empowered India and a well-equipped India to protect and uphold a civilised society. We pray for its success," said Jagadguru Saraswati.
The programme started with a welcome address by Sundararaman R, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of BSE. He said the initiative is aimed at spreading awareness and building a stronger, more responsible society.
At the event, well-known names from the industry also shared their views. Former SEBI Chairman M. Damodaran, Salesforce India CEO Arundhati Bhattacharya and L&T CFO R. Shankar Raman were among those present.
They spoke about the need to bring ethics and values into everyday professional life, especially at a time when the country is aiming for faster growth.
The idea behind the initiative is to encourage companies and professionals to stay connected with Indian values and social responsibility. The session's message was simple — growth should not be only about profits, but also about values, culture and a sense of responsibility as India moves forward.
