Berger Paints Q4 Results: Net profit up 27.5%, revenue rises 6%; declares 400% dividend

Berger Paints India Limited has reported its financial results for the quarter and year ended 31 March 2026. The company reported consolidated revenue from operations of Rs 2,868.0 crore for the quarter ended 31 March 2026, compared with Rs 2,704.0 crore in the same quarter of the previous financial year. This represents an increase of 6.1 per cent year-on-year.

Consolidated EBITDA (excluding other income) for the quarter stood at Rs 481.7 crore, compared with Rs 427.8 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, an increase of 12.6 per cent.

Berger Paints Q4 Results

Net profit for the quarter was Rs 335.3 crore, compared with Rs 262.9 crore in the same period last year, an increase of 27.5 per cent.

On a standalone basis, revenue from operations for the quarter was Rs 2,504.0 crore, compared with Rs 2,347.5 crore in the same quarter last year, reflecting an increase of 6.7 per cent.

Standalone EBITDA was Rs 458.7 crore, compared with Rs 389.5 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, an increase of 17.8 per cent. Net profit stood at Rs 327.3 crore, compared with Rs 236.9 crore in the same quarter last year, an increase of 38.1 per cent.

For the full year ended 31 March 2026, consolidated revenue from operations stood at Rs 11,880.3 crore, compared with Rs 11,544.7 crore in the previous year, an increase of 2.9 per cent.

Consolidated EBITDA was Rs 1,833.3 crore, compared with Rs 1,856.1 crore in the previous year, a decline of 1.2 per cent. Consolidated net profit for the year was Rs 1,128.0 crore, compared with Rs 1,182.8 crore in the previous year, a decline of 4.6 per cent.

Berger Paints Q4 Standalone

On a standalone yearly basis, revenue from operations was Rs 10,420.1 crore, compared with Rs 10,169.2 crore in the previous year, an increase of 2.5 per cent. Standalone EBITDA was Rs 1,686.6 crore, compared with Rs 1,674.1 crore in the previous year, an increase of 0.7 per cent. Net profit was Rs 1,095.7 crore, compared with Rs 1,077.5 crore in the previous year, an increase of 1.7 per cent.

The company reported volume growth of 11.8 per cent for the quarter. It also reported gross margin of 42.3 per cent and EBITDA margin of 18.3 per cent for the quarter. The operating profit increased by 17.8 per cent, and net profit increased by 38.1 per cent on a standalone quarterly basis year-on-year.

Berger Paints Dividend 2026

The board of Berger Paints India Limited has recommended a dividend of Rs 4 per equity share of face value Re 1 each for the financial year 2025-26. This is equal to 400 per cent of the face value.

Berger Paints: What Management Said?

The company said demand improvement continued in the fourth quarter, along with improvement in product mix and raw material price trends. It added that price increases of more than 11 per cent were taken in phases from the end of March 2026.

The company said changes in raw material costs, foreign exchange movement and geopolitical conditions may affect margins in the near term.

It said growth was seen in segments including waterproofing, construction chemicals and wood coatings. It also reported improvement in automotive, general industrial, protective and powder coatings segments during the quarter.

Among subsidiaries and joint ventures, Bo/ix SA, Berger Becker Coatings, Berger Nippon and Berger Rock reported double-digit growth in revenue and operating profit, according to the statement.

SBL Speciality Coatings Private Limited reported moderate revenue and profit growth for the quarter. Nepal operations were affected by political conditions and elections during the period. STP Limited reported lower revenue and muted operating profitability due to scale.

The company said it will continue to focus on distribution expansion, product development and brand-related activities.
