Stock Market Highlights: Indian equity benchmarks closed higher for the third straight session on Tuesday, supported by steady buying across broader markets. The BSE Sensex rose 208.17 points, or 0.25 per cent, to settle at 84,273.92, while the Nifty 50 gained 67.85 points, or 0.26 per cent, to close at 25,935.15.
Broader indices continued to lead the rally. The Nifty Smallcap 250 climbed 0.50 per cent and the Nifty Smallcap 50 advanced 0.41 per cent. Midcap stocks also saw healthy buying, with the Nifty Midcap 100 rising 0.49 per cent to end at 60,735.90.
Gains on the Sensex were led by Eternal Industries, which climbed 5.14 per cent to Rs 303.70. Tata Steel rose 2.82 per cent to Rs 207.80, while Mahindra & Mahindra added 1.79 per cent to Rs 3,675.20. Tech Mahindra gained 1.66 per cent to Rs 1,647.90. Buying was also seen in Power Grid, NTPC, Larsen & Toubro, Tata Consultancy Services, and Maruti Suzuki, which rose between 1.14 per cent and 1.36 per cent.
On the losing side, HCL Technologies slipped 2.03 per cent to Rs 1,569.50. Bajaj Finance fell 1.74 per cent to Rs 965.90, while Bharti Airtel declined 1.27 per cent to Rs 2,012.60. Asian Paints edged down 0.77 per cent to Rs 2,398.60. Other stocks that closed lower included Adani Ports and SEZ, Reliance Industries, ITC, UltraTech Cement, and HDFC Bank.

Wockhardt Limited reported a steady set of numbers for the December quarter, with revenue growth driving an improvement in operating profitability. The drug maker posted revenue of Rs 888 crore in Q3, up 23.2 per cent year-on-year, compared with Rs 721 crore in the same period last year.
EBITDA rises faster than revenue
Operating performance remained strong during the quarter. EBITDA increased 38.3 per cent year-on-year to Rs 177 crore from Rs 128 crore a year ago. The EBITDA margin expanded to 19.9 per cent, compared with 17.7 per cent in the year-ago quarter.
Net profit growth remains modest
Net profit rose marginally by 3 per cent year-on-year to Rs 27.5 crore in Q3, against Rs 26.7 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. While profit growth lagged revenue and EBITDA expansion, the company continued to report stable bottom-line performance.

The Transportation Infrastructure vertical of Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has won a contract for the improvement of Latifa Bint Hamdan Street in Dubai, UAE. The Phase-1 project involves widening the existing two-lane dual carriageway to a four-lane dual carriageway in each direction between Emirates Road (E611) and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311).
It includes the construction of a major structural interchange at E311 and a dedicated U-turn interchange to improve traffic flow and access. The corridor will also be extended with a new four-lane dual carriageway. The project is expected to be completed in 36 months.

At the BSE Sensex open on February 10, 2026, Eternal led the gainers, rising 5.64% to 305.15, followed by Tata Steel up 2.77% at 207.70, Mahindra & Mahindra 1.92% at 3,679.95, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) 1.74% at 2,998.50, and Tech Mahindra 1.72% at 1,648.75. Maruti Suzuki, NTPC, Larsen & Toubro (L&T), Power Grid Corporation, and Kotak Mahindra Bank also gained between 0.99% and 1.64%.
On the other hand, Bajaj Finance was the top loser, down 1.38% at 969.40, while Asian Paints fell 0.91% to 2,395.25, HCL Technologies 0.90% to 1,587.60, and Bharti Airtel 0.74% to 2,023.45. HDFC Bank, Adani Ports, Reliance Industries, UltraTech Cement, and State Bank of India (SBI) also saw small losses, while Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) remained unchanged at 437.50.

Sectoral indices traded mixed in midday trade on Monday. Nifty Auto rose 1.60 per cent to 28,235.55, while Nifty Media gained 2.45 per cent to 1,487.00. Nifty Metal advanced 0.98 per cent to 12,248.75, and Nifty IT added 0.85 per cent to 35,920.00.
Financial stocks were marginally higher, with Nifty Bank up 0.20 per cent at 60,788.35, Nifty Financial Services rising 0.28 per cent to 28,231.8,5 and Nifty Private Bank gaining 0.52 per cent to 29,161.05.
On the downside, Nifty FMCG slipped 0.02 per cent to 52,037.85, Nifty Pharma declined 0.11 per cent to 22,266.75, and Nifty PSU Bank eased 0.03 per cent to 9,169.95. Other sectoral indices moved in a narrow range.

BSE Ltd shares rose to a 52-week high on Monday after the exchange reported a nearly threefold jump in consolidated profit for the December quarter. The stock was trading at Rs 3,188.40, up 5.03 per cent, driven by strong growth in equity derivatives, listings and mutual fund transactions. Gold and silver prices declined on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on Tuesday, February 10, amid weak intraday sentiment.
Gold futures on Multi Commodity Exchange of India were trading lower at Rs 1,57,200 per 10 grams, down Rs 866, or 0.55 per cent, from the previous close.
