Cabinet gives nod to Rs 3,399-crore Railways projects in 2 states; work to be finished by FY30
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Wednesday approved two Indian Railways multitracking projects worth Rs 3,399 crore in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. The projects are to be completed by the year 2029-30, according to an official release.

The Union Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Wednesday cleared two multitracking Indian Railways projects in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh at an estimated cost of Rs 3,399 crore.
These projects involve the multitracking of the following lines:
- Ratlam-Nagda 3rd and 4th lines
- Wardha-Balharshah 4th line
The projects, to be completed by 2029-30, are set to improve travel convenience, reduce logistic costs, decrease oil imports and contribute to lower carbon emissions while supporting sustainable and efficient rail operations, acording to an official statement.
