The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Wednesday approved the Kedarnath ropeway project, a major infrastructure initiative aimed at improving pilgrimage accessibility. The 12.9-km ropeway, connecting Sonprayag to Kedarnath, will be developed with an estimated investment of Rs 4,081 crore.
