Budget 2025: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday, February 1, presented her eighth consecutive Union Budget in Parliament. The budget introduced revisions to tax slabs under the new regime, impacting individuals earning above the specified threshold.
The Centre is set to introduce a new income tax bill in Parliament next week, aiming to provide more clarity in taxation. Beyond tax measures, the budget prioritised key areas such as the MSME sector, agriculture, women's welfare, education, and export promotion. Additionally, Sitharaman announced duty exemptions for life-saving medicines and certain essential items.
