Indian markets are in the midst of a volatile period. In these circumstances, who are the warrior companies that have managed to rise to the top? Check out here India's 5 most valued companies in terms of market capitalisation - one company just managed to break into this top 5 list.


Reliance Industries is the country's most valued firm with a whopping market capitalisation of Rs 5,88,520.75 crore.


Tata Consultancy Services, country's largest software services firm is a close second with a market cap of Rs 5,77,253.42 crore.


HDFC Bank, country's largest private sector bank, is the third most valuable firm on Dalal Street with a market cap of Rs 4,97,284.17 crore. 


Cigarette maker ITC which is also into FMCG business is the fourth most valuable firm. The company's market cap stands at Rs 3,23,169.73 crore. 


FMCG major Hindustan Unilever (HUL) just entered the list of top-five most valued companies with a market capitalisation of Rs 3,04,960.46 crore.
