Kesari movie box office collection: Record! Akshay Kumar starrer gets biggest opening of 2019, beats Gully Boy

Kesari movie box office collection: Holi celebrations not have affected the charm of Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra starrer 'Kesari' as the movie got off to a great start taking box office by storm. The film has emerged as the biggest opener of 2019, beating Ranveer Singh's Gully Boy. Movie critic and business analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed that the film has earned Rs 21.50 crore on day 1. "#Kesari roars... Sets the BO on ... Emerges the biggest opener of 2019 [so far]... After limited shows in morning/noon [#Holi festivities], the biz witnessed massive growth from 3 pm/4 pm onwards... Evening shows saw terrific occupancy... Thu ₹ 21.50 cr. India biz," he tweeted. 


Adarsh has given positive reviews to the film, and tweeted, "#OneWordReview…#Kesari: OUTSTANDING! Rating:.... Chronicles a significant chapter from history brilliantly... Other trade analyst Sumit Kadel also statd that the film is all set for a huge weekend and will eventually enter Rs 200 crore club. On Thursday evening, Kadel through his tweet said that Kesari's day 1 box office collection is at around Rs 21.50 crore, but it would have been at least Rs 30 crore if the film had not released on festival. "#Kesari Thursday Collection is heading towards- ₹ 18-20 cr nett despite having a fractured release because of Holi celebrations. Real value opening is ₹ 30 cr. HUGE 4 days weekend on cards," Kadel tweeted, and in another tweet, he said "the film would appeal to mass audience unlike Akshay's last year releases - Toilet:Ek Prem Katha and Gold," he tweeted.Image source: Twitter


Kadel tweeted, "#Kesari itni zabardast picture hai agar isne 200 cr ka dhanda nai kiya toh muje bahut dukh hoga. But my heart says kesari will cross the barrier.
