Ranchi Rajdhani Express has become more luxurious now. Project Swarn was started to upgrade the condition of Rajdhani and Shatabdi Express Trains. This initiative is likely to give improved look to the coaches. The objective of Project Swarn is to significantly improve the passenger experience.
Indian Railways: Rajdhani and Shatabdi trains getting Swarna makeover
Indian Railways has been upgrading its premium Rajdhani and Shatabdi trains under Project ‘Swarna’. With improved passenger amenities, aesthetics and hygiene standards, Country’s first Swarn Rajdhani (Train no 12313 New Delhi – Sealdah Rajdhani Express) was launched in New Delhi on November 29 last year. Under Project Swarna, a detailed programme to significantly improve passenger experience on Rajdhani & Shatabdi trains has been planned in the following 10 dimensions: Coach Interiors, Toilets, Onboard cleanliness, Punctuality, Catering, Linen, Staff Behaviour, Security, Onboard entertainment, and Real-Time Feedback.
Indian Railways: 29 premium trains to undergo makeover
As many as 14 Rajdhani trains & 15 Shatabdi trains are being modified in the first phase of this Project.

Ranchi Rajdhani 20839/20840 was flagged off with enhanced aesthetics and passenger comfort under project Swarna on Wednesday.
