Box Office Collections 2019: Akshay Kumar's Kesari emerges as big winner! Check list of top opening day grossers

Kesari Box Office Collection: The Akshay Kumar starrer movie is unstoppable at the box office as its opening weekend earnings have already crossed Rs 75-crore mark. Kesari, directed by Anurag Singh, also stars Parineeti Chopra in the female protagonist's role although for a brief appearance. Other star cast include Mir Sarwar, Vansh Bhardwaj, Jaspreet Singh, Vivek Saini and Vikram Kochhar among others. Akshay Kumar plays the role of Havildar Ishar Singh, who was the leader of the Sikh contingent, in the film.

The story of the film is based on the Battle of Saragarhi that was fought between a contingent of the British Army’s Sikh regiment and Afghan tribesmen by the end of the 19th century.
