Big Indian Railways gift: Use Madurai station's luxury lounge, renovated retiring rooms; know charges, facilities
The Indian Railways passengers have got more reasons to be proud of the national transporter. The railways has been improving and constructing new executive lounges at various stations. Now after Ahmedabad and New Delhi railway station, the public transporter has also thrown open its new executive lounge and renovated retiring rooms at Madurai railway station.

Madurai Station Executive lounge: The facilities being offered in the executive lounge includes WiFi, television, beverages, newspapers, magazines, shoe shiner and luggage rack. Indian Railways: IRCTC lounge booking charges
Indian Railways: The IRCTC has kept the entry fee at Rs 150 per person for first two hours and Rs 50 per person per hour for additional extra hours. Those willing to use shower and change room will have to spend additional Rs 150 and will get facilities like bath towels, hand towel, body lotion, soap, shampoo, shaving kit, comb, dental kit, disposal bag and earbuds. Indian Railways: Recliner room for Rs 250
Madurai Railway Station: Passengers can use the recliner room for Rs 250 for two hours. Those willing to use the Business Centre in the lounge will have to pay Rs 50 and Rs 70 for use of a computer with internet for first 10 to 30 minutes and 30 to 60 minutes, respectively. Madurai Railway Station: The prices for the retiring rooms have been classified into four categories based on the types of rooms and usage hours. The charges for AC Deluxe Double Room have been kept at Rs 650 for 3 hours, Rs 900 for 6 hours, Rs 1500 for 12 hours and Rs 2000 for 24 hours. If you want a Suite Room, you will have to shell out Rs 1000 for 3 hours, Rs 1300 for 6 hours, Rs 2000 for 12 hours and Rs 2500 for 24 hours. Those using Dormitory will have to pay Rs 300 for 3 hours, Rs 500 for 6 hours, Rs 750 for 12 hours and Rs 1000 for 24 hours. (Photo: Indian Railways Twitter)
