Like every other organisation, banks in India also remain closed on certain days of every month either due to some events or weekend offs. The holiday list which is being followed by the banks in the country is issued by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). As the month of September is almost here, check the list of bank holidays in the month.

Banks will remain closed on September 8 due to tithi of Srimanta Sankardeva, September 9 for Teej (Haritalika), September 10 for Ganesh Chaturthi/Samvatsari (Chaturthi Paksha)/Vinayakar Chathurthi/Varasiddhi Vinayaka Vrata, September 11 due to Ganesh Chaturthi (2nd day), September 17 due to Karma Puja, September 20 due to Indrajatra and on September 21 due to Sree Narayana Guru Samadhi Day.
