Notably, as per Indian Railways rules, if an employee posted at a workshop or production unit works beyond working hours, he will be able to get an hourly incentive bonus, but to calculate it, there is a fixed formula. If the Indian Railways followes this formula, it could bear a huge burden on its exchequer, therefore, to overcome this, a new formula was coined on which both Indian Railways administration and employees agreed. Under the new formula, the employees would get more than double of the hourly incentive after the new formula's implementation. Image source: Reuters
