7th Pay Commission: With 2019 Lok Sabha elections just a few months away , the NDA government is taking positive steps and clearing long pending demands of the Central Government employees and in this instance Defence forces personnel. Armed forces personnel have been asking for a hike in minimum disability or war injury pension, and at last Modi government has agreed to clear it. The step that has been taken is over and above the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission, which had suggested a slab-based system for determining the disability pension for Defence forces.
