7th pay commission: Central government employees bonanza in brief

Even as central government employees are waiting for a hike in fitment factor under 7th pay commission that would boost their salaries, take a look in brief at what has passed before.

The minimum pay for government employees was set at Rs 18,000 per month. The maximum for Apex scale was to be Rs 2,25,000 per month. For Cabinet Secretary, the limit was set at 2,50,000 per month. (Image source: PTI)
