Wholesale inflation in primary articles grew 4.76% when compared against August 2016 and food inflation stood at 5.75% when compared against the same month of last year. Pic: IANS
Wholesale Price Index (WPI) Inflation rose by 3.57% in September 2016 as against an estimate of 3.90%.
Government data show that wholesale inflation in primary articles fell 1.9% from August 2016 whereas food inflation fell 1.6% from August 2016 data.

Fuel and power inflation rose 5.58% on an year-on-year basis.
Moreoever, manufactured products saw a wholesale inflation rise of 2.48% as against same period of last year.
