Western Railway Offers: Keeping in view the demand of rail passengers, Western Railway has announced additional coaches in two trains. The coaches have been increased in both directions of these trains. Here are the details:
- Porbandar-Howrah Express
An additional AC-3 tier coach will be added to Porbandar-Howrah express train number 12905/12906. The coach will be added from 30th June to the train starting from Porbandar. On its return journey from Howrah, the coach will be added from July 3.
- Extra coach in Gorakhpur Express
An additional AC-3 coach will be added to the Gorakhpur Express running between Bandra Terminus and Gorakhpur.
- Special trains for Ganesh Chaturthi
Western Railway has also decided to run special trains for Ganesh Chaturthi. The trains will run between Mumbai Central-Ahmedabad Vadodara Junction and Thivim/Sawantwadi Road to clear the festive rush. Western Railway said that the special trains will cater to passengers of the Konkan coasts that span across Maharashtra and Goa. The special trains are:
1. Train no. 09007/09008 Mumbai Central Thivim Mumbai Central (Bi-weekly)
2. Train No. 09416/09415 Ahmedabad Sawantwadi Road Ahmedabad (weekly)
3. Train No. 09418/09417 Ahmedabad Thivim Ahmedabad (weekly)
4. Train no 09106/09105 Vadodara Sawantwadi Road- Vadodara (weekly)
The Western Railway has also decided to partially cancel two trains between Rajkot and Okha due to electrification work on Rajkot-Hapa Section. Viramgam - Okha Express has been partially canceled between Rajkot and Okha from June 15 to June 30. The train number 59504, which runs between Okha-Rajkot, will be canceled partially from June 16 till July 01, 2019.
In a tweet today, the Western Railway requested passengers to request the rights of divyang passengers. It said, "Respect the rights of Divyang passengers. Be considerate and let them peacefully travel in the space provided for them. Boarding compartments reserved for the Divyang passengers is a punishable offence."
