UIDAI said that Aadhaar’s core technology stack, which powers nationwide authentication and identity services, will undergo a major upgrade to support higher scale, stronger cybersecurity, and faster deployment of future services.

To lead this transformation, a high-level Expert Committee has been set up under the chairmanship of Neelkanth Mishra, Chairperson of UIDAI. The panel includes experts from technology, academia, and public administration who will chart out Aadhaar’s innovation strategy for the next decade.

What Vision 2032 framework will do

The committee will draft the Aadhaar Vision 2032 document, which will define the next-generation architecture of the platform, aligning Aadhaar with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act and global standards of privacy and cybersecurity.

The ministry said the new framework will tap into advanced technologies including:

  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Blockchain
  • Quantum Computing
  • Advanced Encryption
  • Next-generation data security systems

These upgrades are aimed at making Aadhaar more secure against rising cyber threats, scalable for growing demand, and adaptable to the country’s rapidly evolving digital ecosystem.
