SSC Recruitment 2018: Applications invited for various Central govt posts; check sscwr.net

SSC Recruitment 2018: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is issuing recruitment notice, for various Selection Posts in Central government department all over India on September 5, 2018. The closing date of online receipt of application will be September 30, 2018. The notice will be available on website www.sscwr.net and in Employment News dated September 5, 2018.

According to a government statement, the posts in Gujarat, Maharashtra and Goa which are within the jurisdiction of Staff Selection Commission, Western Region, Mumbai are also included in the advertisement.

The commission will not entertain other mode of submission of application.

The Staff Selection Commission has nine regional / sub-regional offices in different parts of the country. These offices are responsible for smooth and peaceful conduct of the examinations. They provide administrative support to the headquarters for performing various activities involved in the smooth conduct of examinations.

The activities of regional / sub-regional offices include receipt of applications from candidates, Electronic Data processing of applications, issue of Admit Cards (ACs) to candidates, booking of venues at various centres within their jurisdiction in consultation with the district authorities, sending non-confidential examination material to the centre supervisors and appointment of invigilators and inspecting officers at various examination centres. 

The regional offices are also responsible for holding interviews / Physical Endurance /Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/Medical Examination, wherever required.
