Sanju box office collection: Ranbir Kapoor starrer still alive in cinemas, take soars to Rs 281.98 cr

Sanju Box office collection day 12: A biopic on the controversial and much-hyped life of actor Sanjay Dutt, which has been directed by Rajkumar Hirani has successfully passed most the records of 2018 and some all-time ones too. It is on the cusp of being the highest opener of 2018. On the strength of its day 12 collection, Sanju earnings have soared to Rs 281.98 cr.

Sanju movie started dynamically and earned Rs 120.06 crore in the opening weekend. It was a big amount which broke the record of many films. The movie earned all on its own as it was a non-holiday release. Sanju also managed to cross the records of Ranbir Kapoor’s best films and it also earned more than Rajkumar Hirani’s two best films (3 Idiots and PK) on the opening weekend.

On the first Monday, which was a working day, the movie still managed to earn Rs 25.35 crore which was a big amount for a non-holiday release. After that movie broke many records in that weekend but earned only Rs 12.90 crore on the last working day of the week, that is Friday.

On the second weekend, it again crossed the mark of Rs 20 crore each day. On Saturday it earned Rs 22.02 crore and on Sunday Rs 28.05 crore.

Though no big release was scheduled on the Friday and Sanju had no competition, on the second Monday of its release it could only earn Rs 9.00 crore.

 On the 12th day of its release, that is on Tuesday Sanju movie managed to earn Rs 7.50 crore. It is a downfall in the earning of the movie as the movie had no competition in the theatres this week too. And according to the opening weekend collection, the movie could have maintained a good amount but it failed to.

The movie made many records and registered itself in the top ten list of Box office collection. The movie features Ranbir Kapoor, Manisha Koirala, Dia Mirza, Paresh Rawal, Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Vicky Kaushal and Jim Shrabh.
