RRB ALP exams to go on despite Atal Bihari Vajpayee's death; postponed in Kerala due to floods

RRB ALP Exam 2018: Indian Railways today said that the Railway Recruitment Board's exam for Assitant Loco Pilots and Technicians posts will go on as per schedule despite the demise of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
After Vajpayee's death yesterday, the government has declared a half-day holiday today for all central government departments .
The announcement has raised doubt over the RRB exam being held today across the country.

Clarifying the issue, Railways has said that the exam will be conducted in all the three shifts as per schedule.
"Individual SMS-es are also being sent to about 4.36 lakh candidates," said Rajesh Bajpai, Director, Information and Publicity, Indian Railways to PTI.
However, the exams have been postponed in Kerala due to the worsening flood situation.
About 27,000 candidates were scheduled to appear in the RRB exam in Kerala today.
