Republic Day Parade 2025: As India celebrates its 76th Republic Day on Sunday, January 26, a special Republic Day Parade will be organised at Kartavya Path in the national capital in a ceremony that will showcase the country's rich cultural diversity, unity, equality, development and military prowess. In this year's Parade, there will be a special focus on India completing 75 years of the enactment of its Constitution. As many as 10,000 special guests from different walks of life are estimated to witness the 2025 Republic Day Parade, which will include 31 tableaux specially designed on the theme of ‘Swarnim Bharat: Virasat aur Vikas’.
Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto to be Chief Guest at the Republic Day 2025 Parade, which will for the first time include a Tri-services tableau to display the spirit of jointness and integration among the Armed Forces.

The nation's 76th Republic Day Parade will start at 10:30 am and continue for approximately 90 minutes.
The Parade will begin at Vijay Chowk and proceed along Kartavya Path and then India Gate and conclude at the Red Fort.
The 76th Republic Day ceremony will conclude with a flypast by 47 aircraft.
The celebrations will be telecast and webcast online.

Users can catch the celebrations live on national public service broadcaster Prasar Bharti's TV channel, Doordarshan National.

76th Republic Day | 10 things to know
1. The ceremony will begin with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the National War Memorial, where he will pay tributes to the fallen heroes by laying a wreath. After that, the Prime Minister and other dignitaries will head to the saluting dais at Kartavya Path to witness the parade.
2. The arrival of the President of India and her Indonesian counterpart will be escorted by the President’s Bodyguard, the most senior Regiment of the Indian Army. Both Presidents will arrive in a traditional buggy, a practice set to make a comeback after 40 years.
3. The unfurling of the National Flag will be followed by the National Anthem with a thunderous 21-gun salute using 105-mm Light Field Guns, an indigenous weapon system.
4. The parade will be heralded by 300 cultural artists playing ‘Sare Jahan Se Achha’ with musical instruments from different parts of the country.
5. The Parade will feature a special showering of flower petals by Mi-17 1V helicopters from 129 Helicopter Unit in the Dhwaj Formation. Group Captain Alok Ahlawat will lead the helicopter formation.
6. The parade will then begin with the President taking the salute.
7. This year's Republic Day Parade will be commanded by Parade Commander Lieutenant General Bhavnish Kumar, General Officer Commanding, Delhi Area, a second-generation officer.
8. Major General Sumit Mehta, Chief of Staff, HQ Delhi Area, will be the Parade Second-in-Command.
9. The proud winners of the highest gallantry awards will follow.
10. They include Param Vir Chakra winners Subedar Major (Honorary Captain) Yogendra Singh Yadav (Retd) & Subedar Major Sanjay Kumar (Retd), and Ashok Chakra winner Lt Col Jas Ram Singh (Retd). The Param Vir Chakra is awarded for the most conspicuous act of bravery and self-sacrifice in the face of the enemy, while the Ashok Chakra is awarded for similar acts of valour and self-sacrifice but, other than, in the face of the enemy.
