Prime Minister Narendra Modi on sunday highlighted the 10th anniversary of the Startup India initiative during the 130th episode of his monthly radio program 'Mann Ki Baat'.

He also discussed about a social media trend that takes everyone 10 years back to 2016, where people revisit there moments from that year, and he stated he would also like to share his memories from the same year.

Young Innovators are the true heroes

"Ten years ago, in January 2016, we started an ambitious journey. At that time, many could not even understand what it was," PM Modi said, the true heroes of this journey are those young innovators who stepped out of their comfort zones, learned new skills and created history.

Over the years, India has become the third-largest startup ecosystem, an initiative started by Prime Minister Modi to showcase the country's development.

Startups in emerging and high-tech sectors

Indian startups operate in fields that did not existed 10 years back, including AI, space, nuclear energy, semiconductors, green hydrogen, biotech, etc.

PM Modi appreciated young individuals for creating new job ideas and opportunities in this sector and attracting great foreign deals, which have promoted India as a worldwide startup authority. He also explained that Indian citizens must take on more duties due to the nation's economic expansion.

"Bharat's economy is growing rapidly, and the eyes of the world are on us. Our current responsibility demands that we concentrate our efforts on achieving high standards," he said.

He also announced the end of the period which accepted every situation with the belief that everything would eventually succeed.

Focus on quality and global recognition

He demanded that all industries implement strict quality control standards while he asked everyone to adopt the principle that value should be their primary goal.

PM Modi emphasized that Indian products must achieve international recognition as top-notch products which include textiles and technology and electronics and packaging materials. He restated his original vision of "zero defect, zero effect" which he first presented from the Red Fort and he explained that ongoing dedication to quality will help India achieve its goal of becoming a Viksit Bharat.

PM Modi urges citizens to exercise voting rights

The Prime Minister used his urgent appeal to citizens about using their national rights to fulfill their civic duties because he believed that every Indian must exercise their right to vote.

The Prime Minister introduced Startup India as a national program on January 16, 2016 to support innovation development and business creation which would result in investment-based economic expansion for India.

Startup India has become a fundamental element of India's economic development and innovative system during the last ten years according to a statement from the Prime Minister's Office.

Institutional support strengthens startups across India

The Prime Minister's Office reported that the system has developed better institutional structures while creating additional funding access and mentorship opportunities which enable startups to expand their operations throughout various industries and regions.

The Indian startup ecosystem has experienced its most rapid growth during this time period because more than 200000 startups have received official recognition throughout the nation. These businesses have emerged as major forces that create jobs and drive innovation-based economic development while building domestic value chains across multiple industries.

Chief Ministers and leaders across states tune in to PM Modi’s 130th 'Mann Ki Baat'

The 130th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's monthly radio show Mann Ki Baat was broadcast on Sunday and received viewership from multiple Chief Ministers and Indian leaders, ANI reported.

The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami listened to the broadcast from Dehradun's Doon Library. Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi listened in Bhubaneswar, while Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai followed from Jashpur.

The Chief Minister of Rajasthan Bhajanlal Sharma listened from Jaipur while the Chief Minister of Tripura listened from Bishramganj and West Bengal BJP President and MP Samik Bhattacharya listened from Kolkata.

The program in Uttar Pradesh was listened to by BJP National President Nitin Nabin and CM Yogi Adityanath while they were in Mathura which included Nabin visiting Shri Banke Bihari Temple to offer prayers.

The episode presented the growing startup ecosystem of India along with environmental and social campaigns and public participation projects and innovation-based initiatives. The program allowed leaders and citizens from different states to participate while they discussed youth empowerment and the Startup India mission's achievements for India.
